24-kilometer new bridge to be built across South China Sea linking city of Shenzhen to Zhongshan

Two massive suspension bridges, two artificial islands, and the widest submerged tunnel ever to be built, all part of the design from COWI, a Danish firm who has successfully pitched the idea for the 24-kilometer new bridge across the South China Sea, linking the prosperous city of Shenzhen to Zhongshan. The Danish designers have drawn inspiration from the Oresund Bridge linking Denmark and Sweden, which shared many similarities with its Chinese counterpart.
